The following is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced cell culture scientist/associate responsible for development and optimization of bioreactor processes for the expression of proteins from mammalian cell systems. You will be responsible for the following:
● Primary responsibilities include independently design, characterize, implement and document mammalian cell bioreactor processes for pre-clinical and clinical processes.
● Design, monitor or conduct experimental plans so as to develop cell culture processes in stirred tank and Wave systems.
● Perform and develop techniques that include medium and cell culture technology development, scale up, and tech transfer.
● Provides data analysis and interpretation, and assesses impact of the data on the project.
· Preferred Candidate Background and Expertise:
● Ph.D., MS or BS degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related Scientific/Engineering field.
● 8+ years of Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry experience.
● Strong Scientific and Engineering expertise developing mammalian cell bioreactor processes for high expressing monoclonal antibody and recombinant protein therapeutic products.
● Expertise working with a variety of cell lines and mammalian expression systems including CHO and NS0.
● Experience with scale-up and technology transfer activities.
● Experience working within cGMP compliance and providing GMP documentation
● Must possess a proven record of developing high-performing cell culture processes, preferably with different types of proteins and using different cell lines, and to have worked in a multitasking environment.
● Advanced scientific analysis and troubleshooting skills.
● Verbal and Written communication skills including technical writing skills.
